They do extend hours in the summer 🍦
No but there's a McDonald's across the street you can use
No public restrooms. Mcdonalds across the street.
Usually late October and they open again in March
They are well worth their price. Pay them!
Yes.
Jimmy cone does not accept cred dot card or debit only cash
They are not open all year. They choose when they close for the season based on how the weather is. If it stays warmer they remain open for longer into the fall.

This is our first time to visit the local favorite's. They were having free snowball on Fridays all summer long. I had a small sundae with hot fudge which was delightful. Highly recommend to stop by if you are in the area.
Excellent local ice cream place. Usually very busy. They have a variety of soft serve, sundaes, and flurries. In addition to chocolate and rainbow jimmies (sprinkles), there are a bunch of other toppings. They also have a sugar free/fat free option.
I have been a coming to Jimmie Cone since the late 1980’s. In my opinion, they are the best ice cream shop anywhere. While the flavors are limited, they do what they do extremely well. Pricing is great. They close for the season in October.
A great Damascus landmark! It's cash only, but there is an ATM at the 7-11 next door.
The best ice cream! It's an icon in Damascus! Reasonable and great selection of ice cream.
It's Delicious!!!I really enjoyed Jimmie Cone. It was my first visit however, it won't be my last. The line was long but it moves pretty fast. The custard was great. It was thick and yummy. Overall, I had an amazing time there.Note: I'm not sure if this was due to covid, or if this is their regular policy however, during our visit yesterday, Jimmie Cone had a sign posted stating (Cash Only). Please call to confirm before going.
Been coming here since high school. Great ice cream
It's more about the experience than the ice cream, the nostalgia and outdoor warm weather fun. But the ice cream and simplicity is awesome. Prices are a little steep for what it is, but I'll support Jimmie Cone till the day I die!
Always a great local treat. I have known the family owned business for 20 yrs. Great home town operation. Keep up the great work!
One of the best places to get ice cream in Maryland. Keep an eye on their weekend third flavors!
Best softserve in the world.
Love love love this place. It's my guilty pleasure but will go there any day
First time visit. Very nice old fashioned soft-serve ice cream shop like the one in my hometown when I was young. They have black raspberry today, which I got in a twist cone with vanilla. It was super! We’re sitting at one of the big picnic tables in the shade, but there are several more out in the sun. Very friendly, small town atmosphere. I’ll be back to try a shake next time.
Great ice cream. But call before going to be sure they’re opened. Google said they were opened and they were shut down.
Everything in Damascus is changing but Jimmie Cone always stays the same. Thanks guys!
I love taking my grandkids there. OK Truth is I love icecream.
Wonderful local ice cream.
There's no ice cream on the planet better than Jimmie Cone. That's not an exaggeration. It really is. Creamiest most flavorful I've ever tasted. Lots of flavors to choose from.
Worth all the hype. Great local spot that deserves it's reputation!
Best ice cream in Damascus!! Or around the area.
People love this place and I never have. Their ice cream tastes artificial to me. I cook all the time so I’m not used to artificial flavors. Other people that mostly eat out may not notice it at all.
They have excellent soft serve ice cream. I have been going here since I was a kid and it is my favorite ice cream spot.
Great place for a yummy soft ice cream treat. This is a seasonal shop, so closed in late fall and winter. There is out door seating only with some tables under an awning. Popular with locals and out of area customers. Worth a visit for sure!
Best soft ice cream around!
Old school awesomeness!
Great place to grab a quick cone!
Amazing ice cream and wonderful service team to serve some yumminess 😁!!!!
Ice cream was delicious and having dairy free options is fantastic! Employees were slammed yet kept a happy smile and attitude. There could have had more workers for faster service. It'd be nice to have more covered area.
Loved the hometown feel. It's soft serve ice cream, which isn't my favorite, but it's a fun, enjoyable experience. We'll be back for sure.
Leon and I always loved going to Jimmie Cone. Sweet memories and the most delicious ice cream.
This place is always busy. I love the twist with chocolate jimmies. Everyone was 6ft apart and wearing masks. We will be only going here for the once in a while treat because 2 medium cones was $8.99. Guess, I'll keep my Schwann's man because it is much cheaper.
great icecream here as well. We went on a tour of icecream places in Oldtown and this ranked up there.
Jimmie Cone is the epitome of a summer's day. The crew are fabulous, fast, and polite. The ice cream is superb and the rainbow 🌈 Jimmies are fantastic!
Sometimes there's nothing better than a soft serve ice cream on a hot summer day. :) Just note that if you've got that idea, so does everyone else and their families. The place was pretty packed and the lines decently long but they kept the lines moving quickly. There's picnic table styled outdoor seating and it's under an awning so the heat isn't so bad. Overall, we'd recommend if you want some fantastic soft serve.
Absolutely perfect ice cream in MD VA DC!!
Good variety. Soft serve, sorbet, snowballs, water ice, and lots of sundae options. Convenient location and nice staff.
Who doesn't like jimmie's or as many call them sprinkles. I grew up calling The Delectable sugary topping jimmies and learned about 10 years ago that many others call them sprinkles. Then I found Jimmie Cone and was delighted in so many ways. The line starts as soon as they open. They always have a non-dairy flavor so all of us can partake. And they never skimp on the jimmies. You order outside under a large awning. And you will need to wear a mask. You can ask for a taste before you decide. The parking lot is small but there are other places to park nearby and walk over. It's worth the drive and there are a few good places to get lunch or dinner near it. And there is a nicely managed Dollar Tree around the corner.
Have been going there over 50 years and they still have the best mixed twist around. With rainbow jimmies of course.
Great soft ice cream vanilla, chocolate & peach today. Plus very tasty low fat, sugar free frozen yogurt.
Historic & iconic soft serve joint towards the northern most point of MoCoMD
Best soft serve you'll ever find
Iconic ice cream social hang out. Got the strawberry vanilla twist. A delicious must try in the northern Montgomery county region.
The ice cream was very good! Thunderstorms added a whole new experience level 🤣🤣 Thank you again 2020!!
You want frozen custard? Come to Jimmie Cone! If you remember what frozen custard tasted like in the 1950s and 60s, I don't know where to find it. But you'll sure enjoy the twist in a sugar cone at Jimmie Cone. The school kids who'll serve you are smiling, friendly, and pretty quick.
Jimmy Cone is an annual pilgrimage for my wife and I. In a good summer, we make it up here from DC several times. If you love soft serve ice cream, you won't find better than Jimmy Cone. The milk shakes and sundaes are also worth a try. Parking can be an issue during peak season especially holidays but despite the narrow spaces and chaotic nature of the parking, ice cream cures the ills.
Really good ice cream. Not many option or flavors to choose from but it was a nice ice cream spot to go to. The kids really enjoyed them. You wear a mask in line to order and then they have benches with social distancing markings where you can eat your ice creams
Always great ice cream. So glad to still get to visit even though it's covid time!
Always awesome. Best ice cream around
Get the chxoloate ice cream flurry with oreo and marshmallow. Not a lot of disappointment in that cup! Good ice cream, solid prices and fairly large portions/servings.
Fun place, it was not crowded when we went. Reasonable prices and the ice cream portions were great! And delicious!
